We worked with Aaron from Big Tuna bags in Seattle on what we felt was the perfect gear for a big day out on the dirt.

Bar Bag. It’s about 3/4 scale of a “standard size” bar bag, plenty big for essentials like snacks and a light jacket. Structure comes from padded Cordura and X-Pac, rather than a hard plastic liner that would pinch fingers at the zipper, and it also keeps contents from rattling about. The zipper is shifted forward to enable easy-access if you use an out-front mount for a bike navigation situation.

Tool Roll. It’s a 29er tool roll, for that big spare tube for your voluminous tires, maybe even two if you use Tubolito spares. It’s got a stitched-on nylon strap with buckle for easy access, and a loop for a leather toe-clip strap for extra security and cinch, with classic style.
